This is magic. It removes the most stubborn makeup.

Great cleanser for removing stubborn sunscreen which I was only able to remove by rubbing makeup wipes or cleansing cloths in one go previously.. i.e Invisible Zinc. Even soap doesn't remove sunscreen in one go but this product seems to slip the sunscreen right off.

My only gripe is the pump. I like using my fingers to massage my skin but it squirts out aggressively so I need to aim it at my palm so it doesnt squirt pass my fingers. Wish the pump was a little more user friendly & gentle.

This opens my eyes to give other cleansing oils a go. May try Dermalogica Pre Cleanse next. continued >>

Unfortunately I can't say this product worked well for me overall. To start, my skin is sensitive and reacts to many fragrances, and dries out easily.
On the plus side, it removes my makeup well-which consists of tinted moisturizer, concealer, light eyeshadow, and waterproof mascara. I found I had to use a little more product to remove the mascara, but I was expecting that possibility.
While that works well, I found that this product stung and left my face feeling very dry and tight afterward. The stinging was not too bad, but I certainly noticed it on my cheeks. This product does have a fragrance, which is not unpleasant, but I think that might be at least one of the reasons I reacted to this product.

This is one of my favourite cleansers. Usually I´m often too tempted to try out new products, so even if I like a product, I usually don´t buy it several times. This cleansing oil is so good that I already bought it 6 times. It removes makeup - even heavy eye makeup - excellently, being gentle to the skin at the same time. No burning eyes, no oily feeling after rinsing. It gets milky when it comes in contact with water and rinses off very well, taking all the makeup and dirt down the drain, leaving behind just clean, soft, non-irritated skin. Even though I find it very expensive for a cleansing product, it´s one of my favourites.

When the lady at the MAC counter recomended this product I was skeptical. I have oily skin and tend to break out easily. I gave it a shot knowing that if i didnt like it i could bring it back. Well i am hooked. I have actully found that i break out less because i am removing all my makeup before i cleans. This product removes all my eye makeup. I do agree with a previous post. it does sting the eyes. it is expensive but hopefully it will last for a couple of months.

My absolute favorite makeup remover-I use it then follow up with a simple foaming face wash to rid of any extra residue-love love love it! I was trying to go more organic with my products and tried out Boscia's makeup breakup oil-and for some reason it really dries my combo skin out. But MAC's oil keeps my skin hydrated and really washes away even the most heavy makeup. Some may say its pricey but a bottle lasts me 3-4 months (of daily usage) so I think it is worth the investment

I love this oil. At first I was a bit scared since I was not sure how my face will react to oil... But I loved it, it completely removed all my eye make up and left my lashes soft ... The only bad thing is you have to use two or more pumps so it finishes very quickly in about 5 months you need a new bottle.. And for the 20.00 usd ( it's pretty expensive)

While this is a good cleanser to remove makeup it kinda stings my eyes. I love the fragrance and this is a really gentle cleanser for the face. I wouldn't repurchase this however since its kind of expensive and I primarily bought this to remove eye makeup.

This was my very first oil cleanser and I'm so glad that I've finally entered the world of oil cleansers. I tried the oil cleansing method a few years ago and even thou it didn't work for me, the love of putting oil on my face stayed. Oil cleansers it probably one of the best skin care items ever; it's nice to apply, easy to rinse of and it removes everything from sunscreen to lipsticks and eye makeup.

I used this cleanser by massaging it all over my dry face and I followed up with a lot of water and then my normal cleanser. It might be good enough to use by itself, but I like the idea of using this as an makeup remover and then using a regular cleanser to really cleanse my skin and not just remove my makeup. The first thing I noticed about this product is the bottle it comes in. It's a very clean looking tall, round and see through plastic bottle with a black pump that's actually lockable. I really like the fact that you can lock the pump. It makes it so much more travel friendly.

This is a rather pricey product here in Sweden (about 22 Euros for 150 ml) and when I run out I just had to try the one by Lumene since a lot more affordable (14 Euros for 200 ml). An since it basically preforms the same way, it's a great find. I find that the MAC one smells a lot like lavender, so if you are sensitive to fragrances I would try the one by Lumene instead. I also have to add that this is the best brush cleanser ever! It works like magic when it comes to making my MAC 188 brush looking brand new and it's amazing for removing cream products. continued >>

The main thing I dislike about this is the oily film that it leaves on my eyes. I also don't feel like it removes my eye makeup as good as other removers, and it feels a little weird using it to clean the rest of my face. I do prefer using products that suds up for my face, so that could be part of my dislike. If I ever finish up this bottle, I won't repurchase.

Makes makeup melt off the skin...even waterproof mascara and longwear lipcolours. But....I found it too drying on my skin when used everyday. I now reserve it if I use MAC's spf 50 primer and other hard to remove makeup. It's also a bit messy, so I don't carry this in my professional makeup kit. I use MAC's cleansing wipes instead for the models and works wonders.

I tried this after successfully using Dermalogica's cleansing oil. While MAC's smelled nice and the pump worked great, I found that it made my skin ruddy looking when Dermalogica did not. In hind sight, I don't even know why I wanted to try something other than Dermalogica, since my skin basically looked radiant like when I was pregnant. I should say that I do use Benzaclin and that it does have an important role in keeping my skin great looking so it's the combination of Dermalogica and Benzaclin that works for me and my skin rapidly regresses if I leave one of these out. I have a lot of natural oil in my skin and at 41 my biggest beauty nemesis is that my pores can clog really quickly and with seemingly little provocation. There are many many products that make my skin clog up so it's very exciting to have found something that works so reliably for me. I do not use cleansers on my face at all anymore, only the cleansing oil. My skin feels clean afterward not oily but not tight either.
11/18/2009 update. I haven't used oil cleansers since spring 2009. I had a couple of blemished pores on my nose that I finally noticed were not going to heal unless I changed something. Unfotunately for me, I took too long coming to this decision and I know of 2 small depressed areas (scars) but the pores did heal once I stopped with the oil cleansing. Probably, I over did it: using this twice daily as my only cleanser. I tend to do that with things. I'm too afraid to try even a little bit although i do think it was great at getting makeup off.

I had been using Almay eye makeup remover pads (moisturizing) and was relatively happy, although you really had to work at getting the makeup off and my eyes were a little filmy after, but they felt moisturized. Unfortunately it has mineral oil which I have learned is bad for the skin.
I’m not sure how it came up but the MAC salesperson started talking about their cleanser and how great it was. I was really skeptical but accepted a sample. WOW! I love this product. I not only use it for my eyes but my whole face and it really feels like I’m removing all my makeup and moisturizing at the same time. The key is to put it on dry skin and then rinse. The MAC salesperson said I could use unscented baby wipes as an alternative to the rinse but I haven’t tried that yet.
The packaging is the only thing that sucks. Not sure why a pump is necessary but it’s hard to control and I feel like it squirts out too much to manage but it’s a large enough bottle. The sample in a little jar worked a lot better. Hopefully you are reading this MAC, change the packaging!!!!

This product is one of the seven wonders of the world. I've been searching for years for a product that will get my face clean, take my make up entirely off and leave my dry skin soft. This is that product. It's absolutely phenominal!

I bought this after using a sample of DHC's cleansing oil, hoping it would be the same. I love it! It is so great to my skin and since I've been using it, my face hasn't felt dried out one bit. It gets off everything...everything except my waterproof Loreal Voluminous. That's the only reason why I took off one lippie.

Being a bit of a sucker, I'll probably buy this again. But it takes off my makeup so much faster than anything else I have ever tried. I don't think it's breaking me out, which I was shocked at because the word "oil" just sends warning lights off in my head. I find it's particularly good for eye makeup (I was using Beauticontrol's eye makeup remover and it just doesn't compare to this stuff). Also it's great at taking off longwear lipsticks. I don't like the feel of putting oil on my face and I think the pump on mine broke a bit faster than it should have. But it's still very usable. I recommend trying it.

I thought this might be a nice alternative to DHC's cleansing oil. However, I did not care for this as much. It did not remove all my eyemakeup on the first wash, despite the fact that I used a lot of the oil and rubbed my eye area carefully. So, I had to do a second wash. Later, my face felt very dry and tight, and my eyes were burning. This does not happen with DHC. I suppose if you had minimal makeup to remove, maybe this would work. However, I want everything gone in one quick wash, and did not get that with MAC's oil cleanser.

Just wanted to add a new tip: I've discovered that this oil is absolutely fantastic for removing wax residue for your post-waxing treatment! I put a little in my palm and rub it into my skin, use a little water to rinse. I've found it's better than most of the actual wax remover stuff on the market. It's gentle enough to use in the bikini area as well.

Before I say anything, I want to say that the MAC Super Cleansing Oil performs wonderfully and I love love love the CONTENTS of the container, but the packaging is awful awful awful awful. The only way I could recommend this product is if MAC changed its packaging. I have NEVER seen such inferior packaging in a product. This bottle leaks terribly and the pump leaks when you try to pump out the oil. So, you get oil EVERYWHERE. If you're willing to transfer this into a new bottle, buy away. Otherwise, try DHC or another cleansing oil.

This cleansing oil is AWESOME! Takes off every trace of makeup (even my waterproof mascara!) and most important of all, it doesn't cause breakouts. This cleanser makes my skin very soft, and I like the nice pear scent. Will definitely buy again.

Super cleansing oil is amazing to take off heavy makeup, while hydrating your skin at the same time. The best way to use this product is to slightly dampen skin, add Oil to skin, massage for a bit, then rinse off with warm water. Use another cleanser if a soap-and-water feel is desired. Also effective with wipes, any wipes to give that slightly gommage feel. An amazing brush cleaner for your brushes that are soiled with emollient based products such as gloss, lipstick, concealers, cream bases, foundation sticks. Just don't forget to do a warm rinse or a second foam wash, if needed. If used properly, this is a highly effective cleanser with many uses.
